Overnight incidents 20/21 August 2020

Two fire crews from Dearne and Cudworth stations attended a two car road traffic collision at 7:50pm on Summer Lane, Wombwell, Barnsley. One car was on it’s side and two casualties trapped.  Firefighters extricated the casualties and were then taken to hospital by ambulance. The crews left the scene at 8:35pm.

At 8:10pm firefighters from Cudworth station were called out to bushes and a fence on fire at Birkwood Avenue, Cudworth, Barnsley. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. The crew left at 8:55pm.

Central station attended a deliberate rubbish at 8:35pm on Princess Street, Sheffield. The crew left at 8:55pm.

A skip was deliberately set on fire at 9:55pm on Smithies Lane, Barnsley. A fire crew from Barnsley station attended the incident. They came away at 10:40pm.

Firefighters from Aston station attended a deliberate rubbish at 11:05pm on Common Road, Harthill, Rotherham. The crew left at 11:30pm.

A Mitsubishi Shogun was deliberately set on fire at 11:20pm on Broom Hill Drive, Cantley, Doncaster. A fire crew from Doncaster station attended the incident. They left the scene at 11:50pm.

Two fire crews from Cudworth and Barnsley station attended a premise fire at 12:30am on Marston Crescent, New Lodge, Barnsley. The occupant was already safely out of the property when crews arrived. The fire was an accidental fire due to a cigarette. Crews left at 1:55am.

A lorry was accidentally on fire at 3:10am this morning on the A631 in Rotherham. Two fire crews from Maltby and Aston station were called out to the incident. They came away at 3:55am.

At 3:25am this morning a fire crew from Edlington station attended a deliberate car fire on Broomhouse Lane, Industrial Estate, Wood View, Edlington, Doncaster. The crew left at 4am.
