Overnight incidents 21/22 July 2020

Cudworth firefighters attended a deliberate rubbish fire at 7:15pm on Thornton Road, Kendray, Barnsley. They left the scene at 7:45pm.

At 8:10pm a fire crew from Dearne station was called out to fire in the open involving a washing machine and a chair. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crew came away at 8:35pm.

A fire crew from Rotherham station attended a fire on a wooden foot bridge at 8:55pm on Hardwicke Road, Eastwood, Rotherham. The crew left at 11:50pm.

Four fire crews from Rivelin, Elm Lane, Central and Tankersley stations were called out to a fire in woods at 10pm at Oughtibridge Lane, Sheffield. The fire is thought to have been started deliberately. The crews left at 11:50pm.

A commercial bin was deliberately set on fire at 11pm at Millindale, Maltby, Rotherham. Maltby firefighters attended the incident. They left at 11:25pm.

Thorne firefighters attended a deliberate vehicle fire at 11:20pm on Grange Road, Moorends, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 11:35pm.

At 11:20pm three fire crews from Doncaster, Edlington and Adwick stations attended a fire on Childers Street, Hyde Park, Doncaster. The fire involved several garages and a car. The crews left the scene at 2:15am. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
