Overnight incidents 29/30 December

A wheelie bin was deliberately set on fire in a skate park at 7:10pm on Church Road, Edlington, Doncaster.  Edlington firefighters attended. They left the scene at 9:30pm.

Doncaster firefighters were called to a rubbish fire on Bainbridge Road, Balby, Doncaster at 9:05pm. The fire was in an alleyway and had been deliberately started. Crews left at 9:20pm.

A pile of rubbish was deliberately set on fire on Princes Crescent, Edlington, Doncaster at 11:40pm last night. Firefighters from Edlington station attended the incident. They left at 11:50pm.

At 11:50pm on Carr Green Lane, Mapplewell, Barnsley three fire engines from Cudworth, Barnsley and Tankersley were called out to a garage and two vehicles on fire, it had also spread to a premise.  There were no reports of any injuries.  The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Crews left the scene at 1:35am.

Two fire engines from Rivelin and Central stations attended a road traffic accident on Coppice Road, Sheffield at 12:25am this morning. The car, a Vauxhall Corsa was done an embankment. There were no reports of any casualties. Crews left at 1:10am.

A taxi mini van accidentally set on fire on Poole Road in Sheffield at 2:05am. Parkway station were called out to the incident. The crew left at 2:45am.

Firefighters at Barnsley station were called to a car fire on Genn Lane, Ward Green, Barnsley at 2:25am. Firefighters used a hose reel to put the fire out before leaving the scene at 3am. It is believed to have been started deliberately.
