Puppy rescued by firefighters

A ten week old puppy got itself into a spot of trouble on Thursday evening and had to be rescued by the local fire crew.

Firefighters from Tankersley station were called out to a property in Darfield, Barnsley at 6pm after a French Bulldog puppy was reported to be trapped in the reclining mechanism of a sofa.

The puppy had got its head trapped in the mechanism, so firefighters used cutting tools to free the pooch who was not hurt from the ordeal.
