Weekend incidents 1/3 October 2021

A car was deliberately set on fire in a field at 11:45pm (Friday) on Park Spring Road, Grimethorpe, Barnsley. Firefighters from Cudworth station attended the incident. They left at 1:15am.

Two fire crews from Central and Rotherham station were called out to an accidental bus fire at 9:05am (Saturday) on Doncaster Road, Dalton, Rotherham. The fire crews left the scene at 9:35am.

Firefighters from Edlington station were called out to a bungalow at 1:10pm (Saturday). The elderly occupant had accidentally burnt food while cooking. The fire crew came away at 1:50am.

Two fire crews from Rotherham station attended a small fire in bushes at 5:55pm (Saturday) on Kimberworth Road, Bradgate, Rotherham. The fire was next to a sub station and cables had also overheated. The fire is believed to have to started accidentally. Crews came away at 7:25pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 4:35am (Sunday) on Lea Brook Lane, Hoober, Rotherham. Firefighters from Dearne station attended the incident. They left at 5:25am.

Elm Lane firefighters attended a deliberate car (Nissan Micra) fire at 8:45am (Sunday) on Concord Road, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 9:15am.

Three fire crews from Rotherham and Aston stations were called out to a kitchen fire at 2:55pm (Sunday) on Dale Avenue, Herringthorpe, Rotherham. The fire was due to a chip pan. Luckily there were no casualties. The crews left the scene at 4:20pm.
