Weekend incidents 23/25 July 2021

Three fire crews from Parkway, Birley Moor and Lowedges stations were called to a house fire at 3pm (Saturday) on Woodthorpe Road, Sheffield. A neighbour had rescued the occupant from the property before firefighters arrived. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Crews left the scene at 5:15pm.

At 7:05pm (Saturday) firefighters from Elm Lane, Rivelin and Central stations attended a flat fire on Willington Road, Sheffield. It was a ground floor flat and the fire is believed to have been started deliberately. There were no reports of any casualties. The fire crews left the scene at 8:30pm.

A Vauxhall Astra car was deliberately set on fire at 8:40pm (Saturday) on Braithwell Road, Braithwell, Doncaster. Firefighters from Maltby station attended the incident. They left at 9:05pm.

Maltby firefighters were called out to a road traffic collision at 9:25pm on the M18, J1 to J2 northbound. Firefighters came away at 9:45pm.

A Ford Fiesta car was deliberately set on fire at 12:40am (Sunday) on Dudley Drive, Goldthorpe, Barnsley. Firefighters from Dearne station attended the incident. The crew came away at 1:05am.

Firefighters from Elm Lane station were called out to a property fire at 10:20am (Sunday) at Strawberry Avenue, Sheffield. Firefighters rescued a man from the property. The fire is believed to have started accidentally due to cooking. The crew left the scene at 10:50am.

Two fire crews from Central and Birley Moor station were called out to a deliberate fire involving a bin chute fire at 3:05pm (Sunday) on Spring Close Mount, Sheffield. The crews came away at 3:30am.
