Weekend incidents 26/28 February 2021

A motorbike was deliberately set on fire at 9:45pm (Friday) on Buchanan Road, Sheffield. Firefighters from Elm Lane station attended the incident. They left the scene at 10:05pm.

Firefighters from Cudworth station were called out to a wheelie bin and car on fire at 3:35am (Saturday) on New Street, Royston, Barnsley. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crew left the scene at 4am.

Three fire crews were called out to a care home on Parkside Park Street, Wombwell, Barnsley at 4:10am (Saturday). It was an accidental fire involving the electrical board. Firefighters left the scene at 5:10am.

At 4.55am (Saturday) fire crews from Rotherham, Maltby, Elm Lane and Dearne station were called out to a deliberate skip fire on Fitzwilliam Road, Eastwood, Rotherham. The crews left the scene at 6am.

Firefighters from Rotherham, Central and Elm Lane station attended a premise fire at 2:55pm (Saturday) on Kashmire Gardens, Sheffield. The accidental fire was in the living room area and involved a battery. Crews left the scene at 3:55pm.

Three fire crews from Elm Lane, Rivelin and Central station attended house on Tideswell Road, Sheffield at 6pm (Saturday). Building work was being carried out on the premise and the fire was under the floor boards.  It is believed to have started accidentally. The crews left the scene at 6:40pm.

A Volvo car was deliberately set on fire at 8:35pm on Water Slacks Road, Sheffield. Firefighters from Parkway station attended the incident. They left the scene at 9:15pm.

Two fire crews from Dearne and Adwick stations were called out to a cooker fire at 3:40pm (Sunday) on Barnsley Road, Goldthorpe, Barnsley. The fire was accidental and there were no reports of any casualties. Firefighters left the scene at 4:35pm.
