Weekend incidents 3/5 December 2021

Friday 3 December

Three fire crews were called out to a flat at 8pm on Kirk View, Hoyland, Barnsley. A dog was rescued from the flat and given oxygen by firefighters. The fire is believed to have started accidentally at the hob. Crews left the scene at 9:30pm.

A transit van was deliberately set on fire at 11:15pm on Edenhall Road, Sheffield. Two fire crews from Central station attended the incident. They left at 11:35pm.

Aston firefighters were called out to a Range Rover which had been deliberately set on fire at 11:35pm on Old Colliery Way, Swallownest, Rotherham. The crews came away at 12:20am.

Firefighters from Dearne station attended a deliberate fire involving a vehicle at 11:55pm on Beaconsfield Street, Mexborough, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 12:45am.

Saturday 4 December

Cudworth firefighters were called out to a car fire following a road traffic collision at 12:45am on Engine Lane, Shafton, Barnsley. Crews came away at 1:35am.

Two fire crews from Tankersley and Barnsley stations were called out to a fire at derelict building at 2:25pm on Southview Road, Hoyland, Barnsley. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crews left the scene at 3:05pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 9:35pm on Jaunty Lane, Sheffield. Firefighters from Birley Moor station attended the incident. They left at 10:05pm.

Sunday 5 December

Firefighters from Thorne, Adwick and Doncaster stations were called out to motor repair shop at 12:25am on Field Road, Stainforth, Doncaster. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Crews came away at 3am.

A motorbike was deliberately set on fire at 3:25pm on Coalpit Lane, Wales, Rotherham. Firefighters from Aston station attended the incident. They left at 4pm.
