On Friday 07:36pm, crews from Aston, Maltby and Rotherham were called to an incident on Ledsham Road in Broom, Rotherham. This was an electric oven, believed to have been unknowingly switched on whilst using hob. The oven had a large number of roasting tins and a grill pan containing old fat left inside of it. Its believed that this fat had caught fire inside the oven, causing the oven casing and worktop to catch fire. The occupants of the property were luckily alerted to the fire and safely evacuated the property. Crews left at around 08:21pm.
On Saturday morning at 07:43am, firefighters from Doncaster were called to an incident on Thirlmere Gardens in Kirk Sandall. This was a Ford KA involved in the fire. Crews left at around 08:27am and deemed the fire to be deliberate.
Crews from Cudworth attended an incident in which a 4×4 vehicle had been set alight in Cundy Cross, Barnsley. Firefighters left the scene at 08:32am and deemed the fire to have been started deliberately.
At 09:16pm on Saturday evening, crews were called to a flat fire on Morland Road in Sheffield. Firefighters from Central and Birley attended. Fire investigation officers were on scene until Sunday and deemed the fire to have been started deliberately.
At 11:46pm firefighters were called to a small vehicle fire on Roughwood Road in Kimberworth. They found a Volkswagen Polo well alight on the road. The fire was deemed to have been started deliberately. They left the scene at 00:22am Sunday morning.
In the early hours of Sunday morning (02:09am) firefighters attended another small vehicle fire on West Avenue, Woodlands, Doncaster. The front of the car, which was a Ford Mondeo, was on fire. Firefighters left at 02:47am and deemed the fire to be deliberate.
At 03:35pm on Sunday afternoon, crews attended to a fire involving a grill pan. Luckily the damage was limited to the oven of the ground floor flat. This was deemed to have started accidentally and firefighters from Rotherham left the scene at 04:12pm.
A tumble dryer was involved in a fire on Valley way in Hoyland, Barnsley on Sunday at 05:15pm. Crews from Elm lane ans Tankersley attended the fire. They left the scene at 06:24pm and deemed the fire to have started accidentally.
