Weekend incidents 4/6 November 2022

Friday 4 November

Three fire crews from Cudworth, Barnsley and Dearne stations were called out to a barn fire which had accidentally spread from a bonfire at 7:10pm on Brierley Road, Grimethorpe, Barnsley. The crews left the scene at 8pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 9:15pm on Doe Royd Lane, Sheffield. Firefighters from Rivelin station attended the incident. They left at 10:05pm.

Edlington firefighters were called out to a deliberate wheelie bin fire at 11pm on Main Avenue, Edlington, Doncaster. The crew came away at 11:10pm.

Saturday 5 November

Firefighters from Birley Moor station attended a deliberate vehicle fire on Woodthorpe Road, Sheffield at 5:15am. The crew left the scene at 6am.

Central firefighters were called out to an accidental fire involving a vehicle at 2:20pm on Cemetery Road, Sheffield. The crew came away at 2:40pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 5:05pm on Slacks Lane, Bramley, Rotherham. Firefighters from Rotherham station attended the incident. They left at 5:55pm.

Thorne firefighters were called out to an accidental fire involving an outbuilding which was due to a firework at 6:30pm on Field Road, Thorne, Doncaster. Firefighters left the scene at 6:55pm.

A shed was accidentally on fire at 8:25pm on The Avenue, Bentley, Doncaster. It is believed that a firework started the fire. Firefighters from Doncaster station attended the incident. They left at 9:10pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 8:40pm on Norborough Road, Sheffield. Firefighters from Parkway station attended the incident. They left at 9:05pm.

Aston firefighters were called out to a car fire which had been deliberately set on fire with a firework at 9:50pm on Aughton Lane, Aston, Rotherham. The crew left the scene at 10:20pm.

Sunday 6 November

Firefighters from Elm Lane station attended a wooden children’s play structure at 12:25am on Tyler Street, Sheffield. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crew came away at 1:30am.

Two fire crews were called out to an accidental fire involving a fork lift truck at 4:55am on Nicholas Lane, Goldthorpe, Barnsley. The crew left the scene at 6:35am.
