Weekend incidents 6/8 November 2020

Five fire crews from Central, Rivelin, Parkway and Elm Lane stations were called out to a flat at 8:35pm on Friday evening on Vicar Lane in the Sheffield City Centre. The occupant had added water to a pan of hot oil and which caused an explosion. There was one male casualty in the flat. The fire crews left the scene at 10:25pm.

At 9:35pm on Friday a fire crew from Maltby station attended a deliberate car fire on Broadway East, East Dene Rotherham. A firework is believed to have started the fire. The firefighters left the scene at 10pm.

A caravan was deliberately set on fire at 11pm on Friday night at Henley Grove Road, Masbrough, Rotherham. Two fire crews from Rotherham and Elm Lane attended the incident. They came away at 11:35pm.

A BMW car was deliberately set on fire on Vicarage Road, Grenoside, Sheffield at 1:25am on Saturday. Three fire crews from Elm Lane, Rivelin and Tankersley stations attended the incident. The fire also spread to a house. The fire crews left the scene at 3:15am.

Two fire crews from Rivelin and Elm Lane stations were called out to a JCB on fire which had started accidentally on Clay Wheels Lane, Sheffield at 7:35am on Saturday. The crews came away at 8:45am.

A car was accidentally on fire at 4:45pm on Saturday on Elm Road, Armthorpe, Doncaster. Firefighters from Doncaster station attended the incident. They came away at 5:15pm.

Rotherham firefighters were called out to an accidental shed fire at 8:55pm on St Marys Road, Rawmarsh, Rotherham. The crew left the scene at 9:10pm.

Several cars in a compound were deliberately set on fire at 12:05am on Sunday on Farfield Park, Manvers, Rotherham. Two fire crews from Dearne stations attended the incident. They left the scene at 1:05am.
