A man has died following a fire at his flat on Queen Mary Street in Maltby, Rotherham.

Crews from Maltby, Aston Park and Edlington were mobilised to the incident at 11:38pm on 2 February.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and two hose reels were used to extinguish the fire.

Unfortunately, a man in his 50’s has found to have died.

A multi-agency investigation into the cause of the fire will now take place.
