Firefighters tackle nursery blaze

Five fire engines and an aerial appliance have been tackling a large fire at a nursery in Sheffield.

The fire at the nursery on School Road, Beighton broke out at around 6pm on Sunday.

The building was well alight with flames coming through the roof.

But firefighters managed to out in place a fire break which helped to save three quarters of the building.

Crews were still at the scene at 10pm on Sunday, but the number of fire engines there was in the process of being scaled back.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
