Overnight incident 31 March – 1 April

A fire crew from Edlington station attended a deliberate rubbish fire at 7pm last night on Princes Crescent, Edlington, Doncaster. The crew left at 7:20pm.

Cudworth firefighters attended a deliberate grass at 7:20pm at Pearson Crescent, Wombwell, Barnsley. The fire crew came away at 7:50pm.

Two fire crews from Dearne and Rotherham stations were called out to a derelict building fire at 8:45pm on Victoria Street, Kilnhurst, Rotherham. Rubbish and the stairs were involved in the fire. The crews came away at 10pm. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.

At 9:35pm two fire crews from Central station attended a deliberate garden fire which was out of control on Cricket Inn Road, Sheffield. The crew left at 9:55pm.

A bin was deliberately set on fire at 10pm on Cantley Lane, Cantley, Doncaster. Firefighters from Doncaster station attended the incident. They crew left the scene at 10:10pm.

Cudworth firefighters were called out to a mattress which had been deliberately set on fire in a layby on Engine Lane, Shafton, Barnsley at 10:50pm. The crew left at 11:15pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 12:30am on Keresforth Close, Barnsley. Barnsley firefighters attended the incident. The fire had spread to two other cars when the crew arrived. They left at 1:20am.

Two fire crews from Edlington and Doncaster stations were called at 5:30am to an outbuilding on fire on an allotment at Edlington Lane, Edlington, Doncaster. The fire was believed to have started accidentally. The crews left at 7:10am.
