Overnight incidents – 19/20 May

Firefighters from Rotherham were called to Thrybergh Country Park, Doncaster Road, at 7.48pm. Upon arrival they found a large amount of fly tipped rubbish well alight. This was dealt with by 9.10pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Elm Lane were called to Wilding Way, Kimberworth, at 8.43pm. Upon arrival they found a car well alight on a driveway. This was dealt with by 9.10pm and is thought to have started accidentally – through an electrical fault with the car.

Firefighters from Central were called to Smithy Wood Road, Woodseats, at 3.32am. Upon arrival they found a Kia Sportage well alight. This was dealt with by 4.41am and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Central, Rotherham and Elm Lane were called to a manufacturing plant on Milford Street, Sheffield, at 4.47am. Upon arrival they found an ‘oil quencher’ involved in fire. This was dealt with by 6.49am and is thought to have started accidentally.
