Overnight incidents 22/23 January

Rotherham firefighters were called to a fire in a bedroom last night at 10pm on Tennyson Road, Herringthorpe, Rotherham. The fire was out on arrival but had started due to clothes being placed around a games console which then overheated. The crews left at 10:45pm.

A BMW car was deliberately set on fire on School Street, Dinnington, Rotherham at 11:20pm.  Firefighters from Aston station attended the incident. They left at 11:50pm.

At 12:20am this morning Central station attended a fence on fire on Broad Street, Sheffield. The crew used a hose reel to put the fire out before leaving the scene at 12:40am. It was a deliberate fire.

Cudworth firefighters were called out to some tyres and rubbish that had been deliberately set on fire on Cemetery Road, Grimethorpe, Barnsley at 2:30am.  The crew left at 3am.
