Firefighters from Rotherham were called to Simmonite Road, Kimberworth Park, at 8.03pm. Upon arrival they found one traffic cone well alight. This was dealt with by 8.15pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Dearne were called to Dryden Road, West Melton, at the stroke of midnight. Upon arrival they discovered an attempted arson on a Ford Transit van, that had been limited to the engine compartment. The crew used a hose reel to dampen down before leaving at 0.26am.
