Firefighters from Edlington were called to Grange Lane, Edlington, at 7.05pm. Upon arrival they found a large pile of manure on fire, behind a farm. This was extinguished by 9pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.
Firefighters from Thorne were called to Lands End Road, Thorne, at 7.07pm. Upon arrival they found multiple rubbish fires along the road. These were extinguished by 7.40pm and are thought to have been started deliberately.
Firefighters from Deare were called to the Cathill Roundabout, Darfield, at 8.14pm. Upon arrival they found an Audi A3 on fire. This is thought to have started accidentally, in the engine compartment, and was dealt with by 8.47pm.
Firefighters from Central were called to Manor Park Crescent, Sheffield, at 8.36pm. Upon arrival they found a rubbish fire to the rear of a house. This involved sofa chairs, rubbish and plastics, and had grown out of control. This was extinguished by 9.12pm and the crew gave advice to the occupier on sensible burning.
Firefighters from Parkway were called to a fire on Laverack Street, Sheffield, at 10.52pm. Upon arrival they found a garden fire to the rear of a house. This was creating a large amount of smoke and, as such, was extinguished by 11.23pm.
Firefighters from Central were called to Garth Close, Sheffield, at 11.17pm. Upon arrival they found a garden fire that had been left unattended close to a fence and some trees. Despite knocking on both front and back doors, the crew in attendance couldn’t get a response from the occupier. They extinguished the fire and left by 11.41pm.
Firefighters from Adwick were called to Beever Street, Goldthorpe, at 0.45am. Upon arrival they found a garden fire that had been left unattended. This fire was quite close to the property so it was extinguished by the crew who left at around 0.51am.
Firefighters from Rotherham were called to West Avenue, Rawmarsh, at 1.13am. Upon arrival they found a garden fire had spread out of control and involved a fence and trees. This was dealt with by 1.56am.
Firefighters from Dearne were called to Princess Street, West Melton, at 1.45am. Upon arrival they found two cars had been set alight, on neighbouring streets. They dealt with both by 2.21am.
Firefighters from Adwick were called to Beever Street, Goldthorpe, at 2.12am. Upon arrival they found a car well alight. This was totally destroyed by fire. It was dealt with by 2.54am and is thought to have been started deliberately.
