Overnight incidents 29/30 April

Firefighters from Central were called to Verdon Street, Sheffield, at 11.02pm. Upon arrival they found a Toyota Yaris well alight. This was dealt with by 11.51pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Dearne were called to Yorkfield Court, Sidney Street, Swinton, at 0.09am. Upon arrival they found a man had got trapped in his bathroom. The crew forced entry into the room to get him out. This was dealt with by 0.31am.

Firefighters from Lowedges were called to White Thorns View, Sheffield, at 1.46am. Upon arrival they found a woman trapped in her living room, due to the handle being broken. She was freed, and the incident was dealt with, by 1.46am.

Firefighters from Cudworth and Barnsley were called to Cross Street, Monk Bretton, at 2.37am.  Upon arrival they found the first floor and roof of a derelict building on fire. This was dealt with by 3.44am and is thought to have been started deliberately.
