Overnight incidents 6/7 July 2022

Central firefighters were called out to a deliberate grass fire at 7:20pm on Algar Close, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 7:35pm.

Firefighters from Cudworth station attended a grassland fire on Haugh Road, Rawmarsh, Rotherham at 7:55pm. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crew came away at 9pm.

Elm Lane firefighters attended an accidental fire involving trees, bushes and rubbish at 9:25pm on Blayton Road, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 9:50pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 9:55pm on Manor Lane, Sheffield. Firefighters from Central station attended the incident. They left at 10:25pm.

Firefighters from Parkway station attended a deliberate small fire in the open at 10:30pm on Angleton Green, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 10:50pm.

Barnsley firefighters were called out to a deliberate fire involving wood in a car park on Dodworth Road, Barnsley at 10:55pm. The crew left the scene at 11:10pm.

A vehicle was deliberately set on fire at 11:25pm on Valley Road, Swinton, Rotherham. Firefighters from Dearne station attended the incident. They left at 12:15am.

Three fire crews from Barnsley, Cudworth and Tankersley stations were called out to a premise on Spark Lane, Mapplewell, Barnsley at 1:15am.  There was no fire in the property but a lot of smoke from burnt food. Two occupants were rescued from the property. The incident has been logged as accidental. The crews left the scene at 2am.

Doncaster firefighters attended an accidental rubbish fire at 2:05am on Jarratt Street, Hyde Park, Doncaster. The crew came away at 2:40am.

Two vehicles were deliberately set on fire at 2:10am on Lancaster Road, Sheffield. Firefighters from Tankersley station attended the incident. They left at 2:40am.

Three fire crews from Rotherham, Dearne and Elm Lane stations attended an accidental fire at a MOT testing garage on Potter Hill, Greasbrough, Rotherham at 4:45am. The crews left the scene at 6:50am.
