Two fire engines are parked up on an area of farm land, on a hill. The weather is dull and it appears to be in the late evening. Two firefighters can be seen in the distance, walking between the two fire engines.

Overnight incidents – 9/10 September

Firefighters from Rotherham were called to Masbrough Street, Rotherham, at 7.19pm. Upon arrival they found a fire in the engine bay of a vehicle. This was dealt with by 7.54pm and is thought to have started accidentally.

Firefighters from Central were called to Manor Oaks Road, Sheffield, at 11.43pm. Upon arrival they found a transit van well alight on the Sky Edge playing fields. This was dealt with by 1.02am and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Central and Elm Lane were called to an industrial unit on Bessemer Road, Sheffield, at 2.50am. Upon arrival they found some smoke logging in the unit as well as an electrical burning smell. This was traced to a small rotary grinder. Crews isolated the electrics and had left the scene by 3.24am.
