Weekend incident 16 to 18 October 2020

A Ford Transit van was set alight on Oaks Fold Road in Sheffield at around 10.30pm on Friday (16 October). Elm Lane firefighters tackled the blaze.

A second Ford Transit van was set alight on Shirehall Road at around 10.45pm. Elm Lane firefighters again dealt with the incident.

A van was set alight on Baden Street in Barnsley at around 2.20am on Saturday. Cudworth firefigters tackled the fire.

An electrical fault is thought to have caused a fire involving a Vauxhall Zafira on Sheffield Road in Conisbrough on Saturday. Edlington firefighters dealt with the fire at around 6am.

Dearne firefighters extinguished a fire involving a car which had been set alight in a field off Packman Road, West Melton at around 8am on Sunday.

Unattended cooking sparked a fire at Greencroft Close, Broom at around 1.30pm on Sunday. Rotherham and Parkway firefighters ventilated the property, with the fire out on arrival. They fitted smoke alarms in the premises afterwards.
