Weekend incidents 17/19 June 2022

Friday 17 June

A caravan was deliberately set on fire at 8:25pm on Howell Lane, Great Houghton, Barnsley. Firefighters from Dearne and Edlington stations attended the incident. They left at 9:30pm.

Saturday 18 June

Three fire crews from Central and Parkway stations were called out to a fence and wheelie bin fire which had also spread to a property on Maltravers Road, Sheffield at 2:55am. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. The crew left the scene at 4:50am.

Firefighters from Rivelin and Central stations attended a kitchen fire at 8:35am on Springvale Road, Sheffield. A pan had been accidentally left on the hob. The crew came away at 9:30am.

Fire crews from Adwick and Doncaster station were called to a premise at 2pm on Bewicke Avenue, Scawsby, Doncaster. Clothing was found to be accidentally on fire in the property. Firefighters led a woman safely out of the premise, who then went to hospital as a precaution. The crews left the scene at 3:10pm.

Lowedges firefighters attended a deliberate rubbish fire at 7:05pm on Bowshaw Avenue, Sheffield. The crew came away at 7:20pm.

Sunday 19 June

Several fire crews were called to a flat fire at 2:45am on Rockingham Street, Sheffield. The fire was a accidental kitchen fire. The crews left the scene at 4:35am.

A vehicle was accidentally on fire at 9:50am on Rockingham Street, Sheffield. Firefighters from Elm Lane and Tankersley stations attended the incident. They left at 10:15am.

Firefighters from Barnsley station attended a deliberate fire involving a transit van at 1:30pm on Mount Pleasant Road, Moorends, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 2:40pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 5:20pm on Nether Edge Road, Sheffield. Firefighters from Central station attended the incident. They left at 5:55pm.
