Weekend incidents 20/22 March

Three fire crews from Doncaster and Edlington stations were called to a fire in a block of high rise flats on Friday evening at 10:05pm on Grove Place, Balby Bridge, Doncaster. The fire crews found a small rubbish fire on a landing and quickly extinguished it. They left the scene at 10:25pm. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.

At 11:20pm on Friday, Cudworth firefighters attended a road traffic collision involving one vehicle on Ollerton Road, Athersley North, Barnsley. There were no casualties at the scene. The crew left at 11:45pm.

Two fire engines from Birley Moor and Parkway stations were called out to a premise fire on Smelter Wood Crescent, Sheffield at 2:50am on Saturday morning. The grill was on fire in the kitchen. Luckily no one was injured. The fire was accidental and the firefighters left the scene at 3:20am.

A Suzuki vehicle was deliberately set on fire at 6:35pm on Saturday on Park Spring Road, Grimethorpe, Barnsley.  Firefighters from Cudworth station attended the incident. They left at 7:05pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire on Oxford Street, Sheffield at 11:15pm Saturday night. A fire crew from Central station were called out to the incident. They came away at 11:45pm.

At 3:05pm on Sunday afternoon a fire crew from Doncaster station were alerted to a vehicle fire on Dursley Court, Auckley, Doncaster. The fire is believed to have started accidental due to an electrical fault. They came away from the scene at 3:25pm.
