Weekend incidents 22- 25 May

On Friday at 9:46pm, crews from Elm Lane attended an accidental fire at a semi-detached property on Fairthorn Road in Sheffield. It is thought the cause of the fire was a result of smoking materials that had set alight a number of items stored against the kitchen wall.  Fire spread to electric cable, plastic water pipes and garden fence. Crews left at around 10:21pm.

On Saturday morning at 6:57am firefighters from Central and Rivelin were called to a fire on Dungworth Green in Sheffield. This was an accidental fire in a utility room attached to the property.

At 4:05pm on Saturday, Central and Elm Lane crews were called to a deliberate fire on Shirland Lane. This was a small fire that had been set alight in a derelict building. Crews left at around 5:06pm.

Still on Saturday, Central and Birley Moor crews attended a deliberate car fire on Malham Grove, Sheffield. We left the scene at roughly 10:01pm.

In Rotherham on Saturday at 8:25pm, firefighters from Dearne, Rotherham and Aston attended an accidental garden fire on Newbiggin Drive in Parkgate. Crews keft at 10:41pm.

On Sunday, one crew from Parkway attended an accidental allotment fire on Infield Lane at around 5:23pm. This was controlled burning which had spread to a shed, a waste container, surrounding hedges and fences. Crews left at around 7:36pm.

Later on Sunday at 7:26pm, Birley Moor firefighters were called to a small vehicle fire on Arbour Lane in Ravenfield, Rotherham. This was a Peugeot 207 CC that had been set alight. Firefighters left at around 8:32pm.
