Weekend incidents 25/27 July 2025

Friday 25 July

Barnsley firefighters were called out to a deliberate car fire at 10:55pm on Smithley Lane, Wombwell, Barnsley. The crew left the scene at 12:20am.

Three fire crews from Central, Rivelin and Elm Lane stations attended a deliberate premise fire at 11pm on Krown Allen Street, Sheffield. There were no reports of any injuries. Crews left the scene at 1:15am.

Saturday 26 July

A van was deliberately set on fire at 12:05am on Ollerton Road, Athersley North, Barnsley. Firefighters from Dearne station attended the incident. They left at 1:05am.

Askern firefighters were called out to a deliberate vehicle fire at 5:20pm on Campsall Road, Askern, Doncaster. The crew came away at 6:50pm.

Firefighters from Edlington station attended a deliberate car fire at 10:40pm on Common Lane, Warmsworth, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 12am.

Sunday 27 July

A car was deliberately set on fire at 12am on Mount Crescent, Hoyland, Barnsley. Firefighters from Tankersley station attended the incident. They left at 12:55am.

Cudworth firefighters were called out to a vehicle fire at 11:55am on Edderthorpe Lane, Scawsby, Doncaster. The cause of the fire is not known.  The crew came away at 12:55pm.

A hay baler machine was accidentally on fire at 4:05pm on Sheep Walk Lane, Scawsby, Doncaster. Firefighters from Adwick station attended the incident. They left at 5pm.

Firefighters from Central station attended a deliberate bicycle fire at 4:05pm on St Aidans Avenue, Sheffield. The crew came away at 4:35pm.
