A person has died following a fire in Doncaster.

Firefighters attended the fire at a domestic property on Fieldside, Thorne just before midnight on Saturday 29 November.

Five fire engines and a turntable ladder fought the blaze, leaving the scene at around 4am.

Four people were treated for the effects of smoke inhalation and one person sadly lost their life.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
