Crews from Rivelin, Lowedges, Birley Moor, Parkway and Penistone were called to an incident in Dronfield, Woodhouse at 5:10pm this evening. On arrival they found the barn well alight, with the fire quickly spreading.

Firefighters were able to use water jets to bring the blaze under control. By working tirelessly for almost four hours, they were able to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby buildings. At time of writing, the incident is ongoing and has been passed over to Derbyshire Fire and Rescue to work through the night. There are no known casualties and the cause is currently under investigation.
