Firefighters spent Friday afternoon tackling a house fire in Barnsley.

The blaze broke out on Silkstone View, Platts Common at around 2pm.

Four fire engines, including two from Barnsley fire station, attended along with an aerial ladder platform.

The fire started in the roof and the cause is currently under investigation.

No one was hurt in the incident.
