Firefighters from Central were called to a car fire last night (Thursday 10 October) on Gleadless Road, Sheffield.

Upon arrival they found a Honda Civic alight – with the driver and passenger compartments both affected.

The fire was out by 7.31pm and there were no injuries, but it is thought to have been started deliberately.

Later in the evening, at 9.18pm, firefighters from Edlington attended a car fire on Daylands Avenue, Conisborough.

This was an Audi well alight. Crews had dealt with the incident by around 10pm and this too is thought to have been started deliberately.
