Crews cut people free from road crash

Firefighters from Thorne rescued two people following a road traffic collision on Sunday evening.

Crews attended the incident on Alexandra Road, Moorends at around 7pm.

They used cutting gear to remove a door of a Ford Focus to release its driver, a woman in her 60s. She was uninjured.

They also removed the roof of a second vehicle, a Mitsubishi Lancet, to release a teenage girl, who was then taken to hospital by ambulance for a check up.
