Firefighters rescue trapped fox

Firefighters from Tankersley station were called out to rescue a fox which had fallen down an open well on Majuba Street in Sheffield at 7:20pm on Tuesday evening.

An RSPCA officer was in attendance at the scene and had called the fire service for assistance.

Tankersley Blue Watch used a ladder to climb down the well and rescue the fox.

The fox is now being cared for by the RSPCA and will be returned to the wild once it is well enough.
