Crews from Barnsley, Tankersley and Cudworth red watch were called to an incident on Broadway Court, Broadway in Barnsley at 11:26pm on 22 June.

On arrival, firefighters entered the property wearing breathing apparatus and rescued a male casualty from the property. They then used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

The casualty was transported to hospital and the cause of the fire is now under investigation.
