A car was deliberately set on fire at 10:40pm on Studmoor Road, Kimberworth Park, Rotherham. Firefighters from Rotherham station attended the incident. They left at 11:15pm.

Firefighters from Tankersley, Barnsley and Cudworth stations were called out to a barn fire at 11:15pm on Hay Green Lane, Birdwell, Barnsley. An investigation into the cause of the fire will now take place. Crews left the scene at 1:20am, however they kept returning throughout the next day to check on it.

Wednesday 1 January

Adwick firefighters attended a deliberate car fire at 12:10am on Green Lane, Brodsworth, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 1am.

Three fire crews from Edlington and Doncaster stations attended a premise on Arden Gate, Balby, Doncaster at 1:40am. There was a small fire in the foyer of flats. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Luckily there were no reports of any casualties. Crews left the scene at 3:10am.

A van was deliberately set on fire at 5:30am on New Station Road, Swinton, Rotherham. Firefighters from Dearne station attended the incident. They left at 6:30am.

Cudworth and Barnsley firefighters were called out to a premise fire at 3:30pm on Grange Close, Brierley, Barnsley. The accidental fire was in the kitchen area. Crews came away at 4:40pm.
