Firefighters attended a house in Rotherham after a laptop battery caught fire whilst its owner was using it.

The incident on Laburnum Road, Maltby was attended by Maltby, Aston Park and Edlington firefighters at around 9.15pm on Sunday.

A man, woman and their young daughter escaped unharmed and the fire was out when crews arrived.

Firefighters stayed to carry out a Home Safety Check at the property and to fit smoke alarms.
