Following today’s fire investigation into this tragic incident, it has been confirmed that this was an accidental fire, however the investigation is still ongoing.

A man has died following a fire at his home on Buckenham Street in Sheffield.

Three fire engines were called to the bungalow just before 6pm on Monday evening.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and quickly located the man, believed to be in his 50’s, and carried him outside.  The fire crew administered CPR but the man sadly died at the scene.

An investigation will now take place to find the cause of the fire.
