A man in his 50s has suffered minor burns after a fire in Goldthorpe.

The blaze broke out on Elizabeth Street shortly before 8am on Thursday (13 October).

It’s thought the fire started in the loft, but was already out when Dearne, Adwick and Edlington firefighters arrived on the scene.

Firefighters ventilated the property and the cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
