Multiple vehicles burnt out overnight

Firefighters from Dearne, Birley Moor and Elm Lane had separate calls to vehicle fires last night.

The first was at 9.38pm yesterday (Wednesday 25 September) on Bradbury Balk Lane, Wombwell. A crew from Dearne attended and upon arrival found a Ford Mondeo well alight. It was dealt with by 10pm and firefighters believe it was abandoned and set on fire deliberately.

The next was at 11.28pm to a moped on fire on Westfield Northway, Sheffield. Firefighters from Birley Moor dealt with it by 11.55pm. It is thought it was started deliberately.

The last of the evening was at 0.21am today (Thursday 26 September) and involved a Vauxhall that was totally burnt out. It is thought this was also started deliberately and a crew from Elm Lane had dealt with it by 0.38am. It was on Burying Lane, Hoyland.
