Overnight incidents 1/2 June 2020

Three fire crews from Parkway, Birley Moor and Aston stations were called out to a fire at a student accommodation block at 7:25pm on Edward Street, Netherthorpe, Sheffield. Firefighters found a small accidental cooker fire in one of the flats. There were no reports of any casualties. The crews left the scene at 8:45pm.

At 8:30pm last night firefighters from Thorne station attended a deliberate rubbish fire on Briars Lane, Stainforth, Doncaster. The crew left at 9:30pm.

Cudworth firefighters were called out to a deliberate grass fire at 9:15pm on Ardsley Road, Worsbrough Dale, Barnsley. Firefighters left the scene at 9:45pm.

A fire crew from Doncaster station attended a deliberate shrubs fire on Mere Lane, Armthorpe, Doncaster at 9:20pm last night. The crew came away at 9:45pm.

At 9:40pm a fire crew from Barnsley station were called out to deliberate fire in woodlands at Bradbury Balk Lane, Wombwell, Barnsley. The crew left the scene at 10:25pm.

Three fire crews from Rotherham, Aston and Parkway station were called out to a premise fire at 10pm on Godstone Road, Wellgate, Rotherham. Luckily there were no casualties at the incident. Firefighters left the scene at 11:55pm. An investigation into the cause of the fire will now take place.

A wheelie bin was deliberately set on fire at 10:35pm on Danby Road, Kiveton Park, Rotherham. Firefighters from Lowedges station attended the incident. They left the scene at 11pm.

Firefighters from Central station attended a deliberate car fire at 2:50am on Sicey Avenue, Sheffield. The crew left at 3:40am.
