Overnight incidents – 10/11 November

Firefighters from Parkway were called to The Circle Manor, Sheffield, at 7.16pm. Upon arrival they found a pile of fly tipped rubbish – including a sofa, mattress and several car seats – had been dumped in the middle of the road and set alight. This was dealt with by 8.24pm.

Firefighters from Rotherham were called to Guilthwaite Common Lane, Upper Whiston, at 7.50pm. Upon arrival they found a pile of fly tipped rubbish had been set alight. This was dealt with by 8.24pm.

Firefighters from Cudworth were called to Littleworth Lane, Monk Bretton, at 11.29pm. Upon arrival they found a rubbish fire on the local park. This was dealt with by midnight and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Barnsley and Cudworth were called to Longfields Road, Athersley, at 0.03am. Upon arrival they found a coach, that had been parked at the side of the road, was well alight. This was dealt with by 1.10am and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Birley Moor were called to Norton Avenue, Sheffield, at 2.10am. Upon arrival they found a wheelie bin had been set on fire near a children’s centre. This was dealt with by 2.29am.
