Overnight incidents 14/15 December 2020

Three fire crews from Elm Lane, Rivelin and Central stations were called out to a kitchen fire at Tideswell Road, Sheffield at 9:25pm. This was an accidental chip pan fire. Luckily there were no casualties. The firefighters left the scene at 10:35pm.

A wheelie bin was deliberately set on fire at 12:55am on Southmoor Avenue, Armthorpe, Doncaster. Firefighters from Doncaster station attended the incident. They left the scene at 1:25am.

Four fire crews from Doncaster, Maltby, Edlington and Adwick along with a Turn Table Ladder attended a mid terrace house fire at 1:35am on Kirk Street, Hexthorpe, Doncaster. The fire was in the loft area of the property. There were no reports of any injuries. The fire crews left the scene at 4:05am. An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing, however initial thoughts are that this was an accidental fire.

Askern firefighters were called out to a road traffic collision at 2:05am on Sutton Road, Askern, Doncaster. The fire crew assisted with two casualties trapped in a vehicle. The crews left the scene at 2:55am.

At 6:30am this morning firefighters from Adwick station attended a deliberate wheelie bin fire which had spread to a fence on Old Hall Road, Bentley, Doncaster. The crew came away at 7am.
