Firefighters from Edlington were called to Westfield Park, Littlemoor Lane, Balby, at 7.29pm. Upon arrival they found a fire involving a privet hedge, some conifers, fencing and three garden sheds. This was dealt with by 8.59pm and is thought to have been started deliberately in the hedge, before spreading further.

Firefighters from Rivelin were called to a filling station on Wordsworth Avenue, Sheffield, at 11.19pm. Upon arrival they found a moped fully involved in fire. This was dealt with by 11.43pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.
