Overnight incidents 15/16 May 2024

One fire crew attended attended an incident where a scooter had been driver through the woods and set on fire near Spring Close Court, Sheffield after a call was received at 5.53pm. A water back pack and beaters were used to extinguish the fire and the incident had been dealt with by 6.15pm.

One fire crew attended a car fire on Wellington Street, Sheffield after a call was received at 6.09pm. One hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire and the incident had been dealt with by 6.33pm.

One fire crew and a fire officer attended an animal rescue on Hoole Street, Sheffield after a call was received at 9.13pm. A cat had climbed up the flue of a solid fuel open fire place and had become trapped behind the metal work of the fire place and brick hearth. The cat was rescued and was unharmed. The incident had been dealt with by 10.48pm.

One fire engine attended a car fire on Algar Drive, Sheffield after a call was received shortly before 11pm. One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire and the incident had been dealt with by 11.23pm.

One fire engine attended a scooter fire on Far Field Close, Edenthorpe, Doncaster after a call was received at 11.15pm. One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire and the incident had been dealt with by 11.46pm.

One fire engine attended a fire in a charity donations container on High Street, Royston, Barnsley after a call was received at 2.10am. Firefighters used a saw and spreaders to create an opening and then extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet. The incident had been dealt with by 3.18pm.
