Overnight incidents 16/17 October 2025

Two fire engines attended a fire involving approximately 600 hay bales near Marr Grane Lane, Marr, Doncaster after a call was received at 9.28pm. One crew remains in attendance this morning using positive pressure ventilation fans and hay drags to extinguish the fire.

Three fire engines attended a fire at an industrial building on Waleswood Road, Wales, Rotherham after a call was received at 11.45pm. The fire was caused by an overheated motor in an extractor fan on the outside of the building. One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire and the incident had been dealt with by 1am.

Three fire crews were called at 3.26am to a fire inside a derelict building near the Shalesmoor roundabout in Sheffield. Two hose reels were used to extinguish the fire and the incident had been dealt with by 4.08am. It is believed it was caused accidentally.
