Overnight incidents 18/19 December 2023

A wheelie bin was deliberately set on fire at 7:30pm on Farm Road, Kendray, Barnsley. Firefighters from Cudworth station attended the incident. They left at 7:55pm.

Several fire crews from Aston, Maltby, Birley, Tankersley and Rotherham stations were called out to a lorry fire at 8:30pm on the M1 between junctions 32-31. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. Crews left the scene at 11:55pm.

Firefighters from Central and Parkway stations were called out to a fork lift truck on fire at 8:30pm on Bankwood Close, Sheffield. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Crews left the scene at 9:55pm.

Parkway firefighters attended a deliberate scooter fire at 9:45pm on Manor Park Crescent, Sheffield. They came away at 10:05pm.

Three fire crews from Rivelin, Barnsley and Stocksbridge stations attended a premise fire at 10:20pm on Sheringham Gardens, Sheffield. There were no reports of any casualties. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Crews left the scene at 12:35am.

Firefighters from Edlington station were called out to a swing on fire in a park on Grady Drive, Balby, Doncaster at 10:45pm. The crew came away at 10:55pm.

A touring caravan was deliberately set on fire at 12am on Bawtry Road. Firefighters from Birley and Parkway stations attended the incident. They left at 12:45am.

Central firefighters attended a deliberate wheelie bin fire at 5:05am on Bassett Place, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 5:20am.
