Two fire engines are parked up on an area of farm land, on a hill. The weather is dull and it appears to be in the late evening. Two firefighters can be seen in the distance, walking between the two fire engines.

Overnight incidents – 20/21 May

Firefighters from Elm Lane were called to Newburn Drive, Sheffield, at 10.50pm. Upon arrival they found some mattresses and rubbish well alight in the back garden of a property. This fire was extinguished by 0.19am and is thought to have initially started as a bonfire that got out of control.

Firefighters from Adwick and Doncaster were called to Woodlands Road, Doncaster, at 1.46am. Upon arrival they found a washing machine smoking in a care home. Crews were able to isolate the power to the washing machine and prevent a full fire developing. This was dealt with by 2.23am and is thought to have started accidentally.

Firefighters from Rotherham were called to Dodds Close, Templebrough, at 2.59am. Upon arrival they found a skip and its contents on fire. This was dealt with by 3.35am and is thought to have been started deliberately.
