Firefighters from Dearne, Cudworth and Barnsley were called to a care home on Newsome Avenue, Wombwell, at 6.38am. Upon arrival they found that a small fire had started when a small heater had been left on unintentionally. No firefighting action was required as the fire was out on arrival, but crews did ventilate the building due to some light smoke logging. They left the scene at 7.04am.
