Overnight incidents 22/23 May 2024

Three fire crews attended a house fire on Churchill Road, Crookesmoor, Sheffield after a call was received at 10.35pm.  Two hose reels and a main line jet were used to extinguish the fire that was located in the property’s basement. They left the scene at 1:31am. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Three fire crews attended a fire in a car park of a business on Staniforth Road, Sheffield after a call was received at 10.40pm. The fire was centred on two cars and is believed to have been set deliberately. Firefighters used two hose reels to extinguish the fires and wore breathing apparatus to search the property for any further damage and fire spread. Firefighters had dealt with the incident by 1.18am.

One fire enegine was called at 12.24am to a car fire on Moorland Avenue, Barnsley. On arrival they found the front of  a car well alight. Flames were seen coming from the engine compartment had also compromised front windscreen. One hose reel was used to extinguisht the fire and the incident had been dealt with by 12.44am.

One fire engine attended a car fire on Edlington Lane, Edlington, Doncaster after a call was received shortly after 1am. One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire which is believed to have been set deliberately. The incident had been dealt with by 1.20am.
