Four fire engines and one aerial ladder platform attended a fire in a derelict house on Co-operative Street, Goldthorpe, Barnsley after a call was received at 6.05pm. Three hose reels and two jets were used to extinguish the fire which was located on the first floor and in roof space. Firefighters had dealt with the incident by 8.14pm.
Three fire engines attended a fire on the outside of a building on High Street, Carcroft, Doncaster after a call was received at 7.07pm. It is believed that this fire was originally started from cardboard that was stored next to the building which then spread to the external cladding and wooden fixtures of the building. Approximately 20 square metres of cladding was damaged and smoke had penetrated through to the shop floor area but the fire did not spread internally. Crews used a main jet, hose reel and a ladder to check the roof area for any unseen fire spread. The incident had been dealt with by 8.42pm.
A fire engine attended a fire near Norton Lane, Sheffield after a call was received at 12.09am. This was household rubbish which had spread over a track in Oak’s Park. One hosereel was used to extinguish the fire and the incident had been dealt with by 12.40am.
Three fire engines attended a fire involving multiple vehicles within a compound on Parkway Drive, Sheffield after a call was received at 1.05am. Eight cars and two vans were well alight on attendance. Two main jets and two hose reels were used to extinguish the fire which is believed to have been caused deliberately. The incident had been dealt with by 2.41am.
