Overnight incidents 23/24 February

A car was deliberately set on fire at 7:15pm on Sheffield Road, Templeborough, Rotherham. Firefighters from Rotherham station attended the incident on waste ground. The crew left at 7:45pm.

An elderly man was rescued by firefighters from his home on Greno View Road, Sheffield at 7:30pm last night. The fire was in a bedroom and is believed to have been caused by candles left burning on a winow sill. Three fire crews from Tankersley, Elm Lane and Rivein stations attended the incident. They left at 9pm.

At 7:45pm a VW car was deliberately set on fire in a car park on Smalldale Road, Sheffield. A fire crew from Birley Moor station were called to the incident. They left at 8:10pm.

Two sofas were deliberately set on fire on Back Lane, Old Edlington, Doncaster. Edlington station attended the incident. They left at 8:55pm.

Dearne firefighters were called to a rubbish fire at 9:25pm on allotments at  Meadowgates, Goldthorpe, Barnsley. The crew left at 9:55pm. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
